A CECT Left Hip Joint is a structural imaging technique that can help reveal the underlying factors causing problems in the left hip joint region. It uses a series of X-rays and contrast material to highlight the target region being examined. The CECT is used to identify various conditions like bone deformities and cancers in the left pelvic and hip area organs.
Some people may have an allergic reaction to CT scan contrast dyes used during the procedure. Fortunately, the risk of severe long-term side effects is extremely rare. An abnormal scan test may indicate left hip joint fractures, osteoporosis (less bone density resulting in fragile bones), and infections in ligaments and tendons supporting the left hip joint.
