सोडियम स्टीबोग्लुकोनेट इन्जेक्शन एक एंटीबायोटिक है. It is used in the treatment of kala-azar (a parasitic disease spread by the bite of infected sand flies). It inhibits the growth of the parasite and kills it, thus relieving your infection.

Sodium Stibogluconate Injection is given as an injection into a vein (intravenous) or muscle (intramuscular). Inform your doctor if you have been treated for kala-azar earlier or have sores in your mouth, nose, or throat. Your doctor may advise for an electrocardiogram (ECG) to check how well your heart works, before and during your treatment.
