Mucocyst Injection is given as an injection under the supervision of a doctor. It must be injected within 8 hours of a paracetamol overdose. How Mucocyst Injection works
Mucocyst Injection is an antidote for paracetamol poisoning. It works by increasing the level of glutathione, an antioxidant that neutralizes the toxic products of paracetamol. Glutathione helps the liver safely break down and remove harmful substances formed when paracetamol is taken in excessive amounts. If glutathione levels drop too low, these toxic substances can cause severe liver damage. By restoring glutathione, Mucocyst Injection protects liver cells and reduces the risk of serious harm.
