Emizee Tablet MD is used in the treatment of vertigo (dizziness) due to ear problems (Meniere’s syndrome and other labyrinthine disorders), nausea, vomiting, and migraine caused by various conditions. Additionally, can be used as a short-term treatment for non-psychotic anxiety.

In Treatment of Nausea
Emizee Tablet MD is often used to prevent nausea and vomiting that may be caused as a side effect of some other medicine and in post-operative patients suffering from nausea/vomiting (in adults only). It acts on the receptors responsible for causing nausea and vomiting by blocking them.

How Emizee Tablet MD works
Emizee Tablet MD is a vestibular suppressant, i.e., it suppresses the vestibular apparatus in the inner ear by blocking the H1 receptor and stops vertigo. It acts within 30 minutes and, therefore, is effective during acute attacks. It also acts as a dopamine antagonist. Dopamine controls the region in the brain that causes nausea and vomiting, and this medicine blocks the action of dopamine. Therefore, Emizee Tablet MD shows an anti-nauseating and antiemetic action. The mechanism of action by which prochlorperazine relieve headache and anxiety is probably related to it being serotonin (5HT3) receptor antagonist and dopamine (D2) receptor antagonist.
