Lipisar 40 mg/10 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines used to treat high blood pressure with high cholesterol levels. Lowering the blood pressure helps in preventing future heart attack and stroke.

Lipisar 40 mg/10 mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. The dose and duration of treatment will depend on what you are being treated for. Do not stop taking it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better. You can help this medicine work better by making a few changes to your lifestyle such as keeping active, stopping smoking, and eating a low salt and low-fat diet.

Nausea, stomach pain, constipation, headache, fatigue, and muscle pain are some common side effects of this medicine.  It may also cause sleepiness and dizziness, do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. Talk to your doctor if any of the side effects bother you or do not go away. It is advised to avoid potassium rich food while taking this medicine. How Lipisar Tablet works

Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels and lowering blood pressure. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medication (statin). It works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL).
