How Flucort-N Cream works
Flucort-N Cream is a combination of two medicines: Fluocinolone acetonide and Neomycin which treat skin infections. Fluocinolone acetonide is a steroid that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy. Neomycin is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Children have a larger skin surface area compared to their body weight, which can lead to higher absorption of topical corticosteroids.<br>Signs of hormone imbalance (adrenal suppression) are slowed growth, gaining weight more slowly than usual, low levels of cortisol (a stress hormone), no response to tests that check hormone levels, etc. Also, the signs of increased pressure in the skull (Intracranial Hypertension) are soft spots on the baby’s head bulging out, headaches, swelling behind the eyes (can affect vision), etc.
