Dermiflex Cream is a combination medicine used to treat different kinds of skin infections. It works by stopping the growth of infection-causing bacteria on your skin. This minimizes symptoms of inflammation such as redness, swelling, and itching.
Dermiflex Cream is strictly for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Apply it only on the affected areas of the skin. In case of accidental exposure to the eyes or mouth, wash it off with plenty of water. Do not stop using even if your infection gets better until the doctor says so. The course of treatment should be completed for better efficacy.
Dermiflex Cream may cause a few side effects such as itchiness, redness, and burning sensation at the application site. If these side effects do not improve with time or worsen, inform your doctor. In case of any allergic reactions, it is advised to call for immediate medical help. To make sure the medicine is safe for you, let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Let your doctor also know if you are applying any other topical medications or on any medicine for any medical conditions.
Dermiflex Cream is used to treat skin infections caused by microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. It works by killing and stopping the growth of infection causing microorganisms, thereby clearing the infection and relieving the symptoms. It also blocks the release of chemicals that cause symptoms such as itching, redness and swelling. Therefore this medicine relieves the inflammation due to these infections.
You should use this medicine for as long as it is prescribed, even if your symptoms disappear, otherwise they may come back. Depending on the type of infection you are treating, this may be several weeks. How Dermiflex Cream works
Dermiflex Cream is a combination of five medicines : Ketoconazole, Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin), Tolnaftate, Neomycin, and Clobetasol. Ketoconazole and tolnaftate is an antifungal medication. It kills and stops the growth of the fungi by destroying its cell membrane, thereby treating your skin infection. Clioquinol belongs to a category of drugs called hydroxyquinoline antifungal agents. It acts by interacting with DNA synthesis thus killing the fungi that are responsible for causing the infection. Neomycin is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Clobetasol is a steroid. It works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers that make the skin red, swollen and itchy.
