Debrifree Ointment is used by a trained medical professional. The hands must be washed thoroughly before and after applying this medicine. You should not get it in the eyes, mouth, or nose. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas.

Before using this medicine, clean the wound with saline or another mild wound-cleansing solution recommended by the doctor. Apply the ointment directly to the wound, cover it with an appropriate dressing, and secure it into place. If possible, change the dressing 1 to 2 times per day.
It is advisable to avoid using other creams on the affected area while using this ointment without consulting the doctor. If your doctor prescribes other skin creams or ointments along with Debrifree Ointment, you should maintain an interval of at least 30 mins between the two medications.
This ointment is for topical use (for skin) only. Do not use it on open cuts and infected skin, and avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, and genitals. It can make your skin more sensitive to the harmful effects of sunlight. So, use sunscreen and wear protective clothing while using Debrifree Ointment. Also do not use it on larger areas and for prolonged periods unless prescribed by the doctor.
It is advisable to avoid cleansing the wound with hydrogen peroxide solution before applying Debrifree Ointment as it may inactivate the papain present in it.
Yes, you may feel a slight burning sensation after applying Debrifree Ointment. This is due to the enzymatic action of papain present in the ointment. In such cases, more frequent dressing changes will reduce discomfort until the wound is healed.
