Daflon 1000mg Tablet is used in the treatment of acute or chronic hemorrhoids, varicose veins and lymphedema. It improves blood flow in the veins and restores its function.

Daflon 1000mg Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

The most common side effects are stomach pain, abdominal pain, headache, and nausea. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine may also cause diarrhea, so it is better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it may help to prevent dehydration. Lifestyle modifications like reducing smoking, increasing exercise and a healthy diet will help you to get better results.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine. You should let your doctor know if you have liver or kidney heart problems.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Daflon 1000mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Daflon 1000mg Tablet is a flavonoid. It works by blocking the action of chemical messengers (prostaglandins, thromboxane A2) which cause inflammation (swelling) of the veins. This improves blood flow in the veins and restores normal vein function.

If you miss a dose of Daflon 1000mg Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
