Medicine Overview of Ciprolar-FC Cream

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
Ciprolar-FC Cream is a combination of three medicines: Fluocinolone, Ciprofloxacin and Clotrimazole. Fluocinolone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy. Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering.

Ciprolar-FC Cream may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Ciprolar-FC Cream is probably safe to use during lactation.
Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Baby should be closely monitored for development of fever, loss of appetite and diarrhea. In case, any of the above happens please inform your doctor immediately.
Ciprolar-FC Cream may cause blurring of your vision for a short time just after its use. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Ciprolar-FC Cream is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Ciprolar-FC Cream may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Inform your doctor if you develop any signs of jaundice like yellowing of eyes and skin, itching, and clay colored stools while taking this medicine.
