Biovac A Vaccine protects against hepatitis A, a serious liver infection caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV), that spreads via contact with contaminated food or water. It is made from a weakened strain of HAV. It helps the body build immunity by producing antibodies against the virus, preventing infection.
Biovac A Vaccine is injected into the upper arm muscle (deltoid). A single dose imparts adequate immunoprotection in children 1 year of age and above. Adults who have not been vaccinated previously and want to be protected against hepatitis A can also get the vaccine. A booster dose is usually not required for both child and adult.
