How Sumox Plus Products work
Amoxycillin + Tinidazole is a combination of two antibiotics: Amoxycillin + Tinidazole1 and Amoxycillin + Tinidazole2. Amoxycillin + Tinidazole1 kills bacteria by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is needed for them to survive. Amoxycillin + Tinidazole2 kills other microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively.
In Depth Information for Sumox Plus Products
- Sumox Plus must be taken with food at the same time every day.
- Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat.
- Discontinue Sumox Plus and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
- Do not drink alcohol during or for 2-3 days after treatment with this medicine. You may develop nausea, vomiting, flushing and headache.
- Inform your doctor if you have liver disease. Your dose may need to be adjusted in severe liver disease.
