How Rtsun SP Products work
Artesunate + Sulphadoxine + Pyrimethamine is a combination of three medicines: Artesunate + Sulphadoxine + Pyrimethamine1, Artesunate + Sulphadoxine + Pyrimethamine2 and Artesunate + Sulphadoxine + Pyrimethamine3 which treat malaria. Artesunate + Sulphadoxine + Pyrimethamine1 and Artesunate + Sulphadoxine + Pyrimethamine3 are antiparasitic medicines which work by increasing the levels of haeme in the blood, a substance toxic to the malarial parasite. This kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading. Artesunate + Sulphadoxine + Pyrimethamine2 is an antibiotic which stops the bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication.
