How Roxsin-TR Products work

Ambroxol + Guaifenesin + Terbutaline is a combination of three medicines: Ambroxol + Guaifenesin + Terbutaline1, Ambroxol + Guaifenesin + Terbutaline2 and Ambroxol + Guaifenesin + Terbutaline3, which relieves cough with mucus.

  • Roxsin-TR relieves cough accompanied with mucus that is associated with broncho-pulmonary disorders such as bronchitis, bronchial asthma and emphysema.
  • It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you.
  • If you are diabetic, monitor your blood glucose regularly while taking this medicine.
  • Inform your doctor if you have a history of thyroid or heart disease.
  • Stop taking Roxsin-TR and inform your doctor if your cough persists for more than 1 week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, rash or persistent headache.

Q. My child has a cough with no mucus. Can I give Roxsin-TR Oral Drops?

No, Roxsin-TR Oral Drops is advised for the treatment of wet cough. It aims to expel the mucus from the airway tract, thereby relieving your child from throat irritation and congestion and rendering him a soothing effect. Whereas, for a dry cough, cough suppressants are a better option. So, it will be wise to ask your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.

Q. What if my child takes too much Roxsin-TR Oral Drops?

An overdose or prolonged intake of Roxsin-TR Oral Drops may cause serious side effects like seizures, rapid heart rate, and excess salivation. Give this medicine to your child exactly as prescribed in terms of dose, timing, and method. Do not stop the medication suddenly, even if your child starts feeling better, as abrupt withdrawal may worsen their condition.

Q. My child has a severe cough. Can I give him two cough medicines together?
