How Promex-O Products work

Cefixime + Ofloxacin is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefixime + Ofloxacin1 and Cefixime + Ofloxacin2. Cefixime + Ofloxacin1 works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of the bacteria in the human body. Cefixime + Ofloxacin2 works by preventing the bacteria from reproducing and repairing themselves. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

  • You have been prescribed Promex-O to cure your infection and improve your symptoms.
  • Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection to come back and harder to treat.
  • Take it with food to avoid an upset stomach.
  • Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it does not stop or if you find blood in your stools.
  • Discontinue Promex-O and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.

Q. Are there any possible serious side effects of Promex O Dry Syrup?

Some serious side effects of this medicine include persistent vomiting, kidney damage, allergy, diarrhea, and severe gastrointestinal infections. Always consult your child’s doctor for help in such a situation.

Q. Can other medicines be given at the same time as Promex O Dry Syrup?

Promex O Dry Syrup can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Tell your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Promex O Dry Syrup. Also, check with your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.

Inform the doctor if your child is suffering from heart disease, genetic disorders involving blood vessels, seizures, psychiatric disorders, diabetes, photoallergy (allergy from sunlight), neuromuscular disorders, or rheumatoid arthritis. This is because there is a possibility that Promex O Dry Syrup may aggravate these conditions and result in complications.
