Prazole DM Capsule is used to treat several acid-related stomach and intestinal conditions such as peptic ulcer, gastric ulcer, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It helps relieve heartburn, heals ulcers, and prevents damage caused by excess acid in the stomach and food pipe.

Some people begin to feel better within a few days, but it may take up to 4 weeks for full relief. Most ulcers and reflux symptoms heal within 4 to 8 weeks of treatment, depending on your condition.

Yes, Prazole DM Capsule can be taken daily as prescribed. However, prolonged or unnecessary use should be avoided. Long-term use may increase the risk of bone fractures, vitamin B12 deficiency, magnesium imbalance, or fundic gland polyps. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary.

Some medicines can interact with Prazole DM Capsule. Do not take it with rilpivirine-containing medicines. Avoid combining it with St. John’s Wort or rifampin, as these can reduce its effectiveness. This medicine may also affect the way clopidogrel, warfarin, methotrexate, and digoxin work. Always inform your doctor about all other medicines or supplements you use.

Studies have not shown an increased risk of birth defects with Prazole DM Capsule use during pregnancy. It may be used if clearly needed under medical advice. Small amounts may pass into breast milk, but no harmful effects have been reported in infants. Always consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Do not stop taking it suddenly without consulting your doctor. Stopping early may cause your symptoms to return or worsen. Complete the full treatment course as directed.
