Q. Can Opcokold Syrup cause serious side effects?

Although they are rare, serious side effects of Opcokold Syrup may include liver damage, severe skin reactions like Stevens-Johnson syndrome, difficulty in breathing, rapid heartbeat, hallucinations, or convulsions. If any of these occur, medical help should be sought immediately.

Q. Who should not take Opcokold Syrup?

Opcokold Syrup should not be used in children or adults who are allergic to any of its ingredients, have severe high blood pressure, serious liver or kidney problems, heart disease, or glaucoma. It must also be avoided if the patient is currently taking medicines called monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).

Q. Is Opcokold Syrup safe for children?

Opcokold Syrup is usually prescribed for children between 2 and 12 years old, but the dose depends on age and body weight. It should not be given to children below 2 years unless advised by a doctor. Always follow the pediatrician’s dosage instructions carefully to prevent overdose.

Q. Why should Opcokold Syrup not be used with other cough and cold medicines?

Opcokold Syrup already contains multiple active ingredients for cold and flu relief. Taking it along with other cough and cold medicines, especially those containing paracetamol or antihistamines, can increase the risk of overdose and serious side effects.
