No, Locort Cream should not be used on the face. In addition to this, Locort Cream should not be used on the axillae (armpits), groin and if there is atrophy (wasting away of tissues) at the treatment site. In certain circumstances, it can be exceptionally considered to be used by the doctors. It should be used only after consultation with your physician and if possible, the application on the face should be limited to a maximum of 5 days.
Q. Can we use Locort Cream in infections?
Locort Cream is not an antimicrobial or antifungal agent. It is a steroid medication. It should not be used in infections as being a corticosteroid it suppresses the immune system and increases the risk of infections. Bacterial infections are prone to worsen if the infection is covered with a dressing after using Locort Cream. In case the inflammatory lesions get infected or there is any spread of infection, consult your doctor immediately. The doctor will withdraw the use of Locort Cream and provide appropriate antimicrobial therapy.

Before using Locort Cream, clean and dry the affected area. Gently and thoroughly massage it into the skin. Be careful not to get the medication in your eyes or mouth. If Locort Cream gets in your eyes accidentally, wash with plenty of water and call your doctor if your eyes are irritated.

No, do not stop taking Locort Cream and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before your treatment is complete. Stopping Locort Cream before your treatment is completed can bring back your symptoms of skin.
