Lafcid D 10mg/30mg Capsule SR is used for treating gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and peptic ulcers. Lafcid D 10mg/30mg Capsule SR reduces stomach acid production and improves the movement and contractions of the stomach to relieve symptoms such as acidity and heartburn.

Before taking Lafcid D 10mg/30mg Capsule SR, inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, as the frequency or dose might need adjustment. Let your doctor know if you have any liver problems, heart conditions, electrolyte disturbances, or are taking any other medications. This medicine can mask symptoms of stomach cancer, so it should be used only after ruling out malignancy.

Individuals should not take Lafcid D 10mg/30mg Capsule SR if they are allergic to any of the ingredients, have a prolactin-releasing pituitary tumour (prolactinoma), moderate or severe liver impairment, known QT-prolongation or significant heart disease, significant electrolyte abnormalities, or are using certain medicines.

Serious but rare side effects of Lafcid D 10mg/30mg Capsule SR include agitation, muscle disorders, convulsions, cardiac arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats), sudden fainting, chest pain, severe skin reactions, liver function changes, and allergic reactions (swelling, severe rash, difficulty breathing). Stop the medicine and see a doctor immediately if these occur.

Avoid consuming alcohol, soft drinks, and citrus fruits such as oranges and lemons while taking Lafcid D 10mg/30mg Capsule SR, as these can irritate the stomach. Always take the medicine before meals for the best effect.
