How Konzol Products work

Ketoconazole is an antifungal medication. It kills and stops the growth of the fungi by destroying its cell membrane, thereby treating your skin infection.

  • Your doctor has prescribed Konzol to cure your infection and improve symptoms.
  • Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
  • Take it with food, preferably at the same time every day.
  • Do not take indigestion remedies (antacids) within two hours of taking Konzol.

Q. What is Konzol 2% Shampoo used for?

Konzol 2% Shampoo is used to treat and prevent fungal scalp and skin conditions caused by Malassezia yeast. It is commonly used for dandruff, seborrhoeic dermatitis, and tinea (pityriasis) versicolor, where it helps reduce flaking, itching, and scaling.

Q. How should Konzol 2% Shampoo be used?

Konzol 2% Shampoo is meant for external use only. It should be applied to the affected area, left on for 3–5 minutes, and then rinsed off. The frequency of use depends on the condition being treated, such as twice weekly for dandruff or once daily for tinea versicolor.
