Q. My friend developed a severe allergic reaction when she started Flutivio Nasal Spray. Could it be due to Flutivio Nasal Spray even though it is used for allergy purposes?
In very rare cases, Flutivio Nasal Spray can cause serious allergic reactions such as rash, hives, breathing difficulty, swelling of the face, throat and tongue. It may also cause low blood pressure which may further cause lightheadedness and the patient may even faint. If these symptoms occur, you should immediately contact your doctor because such allergic reactions can be life threatening.
Q. My brother developed chickenpox while using Flutivio Nasal Spray. Can Flutivio Nasal Spray be responsible for chickenpox? What should be done?
Yes, it could be possible. The reason being, Flutivio Nasal Spray is a corticosteroid, which weakens the immune system of the body, making the body prone to infections such as chicken pox.
