How Edicef SB Products work

Cefotaxime + Sulbactam is a combination of two medicines: Cefotaxime + Sulbactam1 and Cefotaxime + Sulbactam2. Cefotaxime + Sulbactam1 is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Cefotaxime + Sulbactam2 is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefotaxime + Sulbactam1 against bacteria.
