How Dermatson Products work
Hydroquinone + Mometasone + Tretinoin is a combination of three medicines: Hydroquinone + Mometasone + Tretinoin1, Hydroquinone + Mometasone + Tretinoin2 and Hydroquinone + Mometasone + Tretinoin3, which treats melasma (dark spots on skin). Hydroquinone + Mometasone + Tretinoin1 is a skin lightening medicine. It reduces the amount of a skin pigment (melanin) that causes darkening of skin. This effect is reversible. Hydroquinone + Mometasone + Tretinoin2 is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Hydroquinone + Mometasone + Tretinoin3 is a form of vitamin A that helps the skin to renew itself more quickly.

Frequently asked questions about Dermatson Products
Frequently asked questions about Dermatson Products
Q. What is Dermatson Cream used for?
Dermatson Cream is used for the short-term, intermittent treatment of moderate to severe melasma of the face. It is prescribed when dark facial patches do not respond adequately to other treatments and must be used along with sun protection measures.
Q. Can Dermatson Cream be used for pigmentation on other parts of the body?
No. This medicine is indicated only for melasma of the face. It should not be used on other body areas unless specifically advised by a doctor.
Q. How should I use Dermatson Cream?
Dermatson Cream is usually applied once daily in the evening, as directed by your doctor. A thin layer should be applied only to the affected facial areas. The duration of treatment depends on response and should be decided by a physician.
Q. How long does it take to see improvement?
Many patients may notice visible improvement within 8 weeks, although results can vary. Treatment should not be continued longer than advised, even if improvement is slow.
Q. Is sun protection necessary while using Dermatson Cream?
Yes. Sun exposure or UV light can cause repigmentation of treated areas. Strict sun avoidance, regular use of sunscreen, and protective measures are essential during treatment.
Q. Can Dermatson Cream be used for long-term treatment?
No. Dermatson Cream is meant for short-term, intermittent use only. Prolonged or continuous use may increase the risk of side effects and should be avoided.
Q. Who should not use Dermatson Cream?
Dermatson Cream should not be used by people who are allergic to hydroquinone, tretinoin, or mometasone furoate. It is also not recommended during pregnancy, in children below 12 years, or without medical supervision.
Q. What should I avoid while using Dermatson Cream?
Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes. Avoid excessive sun exposure and UV light. Do not apply more than prescribed, and do not use other skin-lightening or irritating products unless advised by your doctor.
