Danfree Shampoo 1% Ketaconazole is used to treat and prevent fungal scalp and skin conditions caused by Malassezia yeast. It is commonly used for dandruff, seborrhoeic dermatitis, and tinea (pityriasis) versicolor, where it helps reduce flaking, itching, and scaling.

Danfree Shampoo 1% Ketaconazole is meant for external use only. It should be applied to the affected area, left on for 3–5 minutes, and then rinsed off. The frequency of use depends on the condition being treated, such as twice weekly for dandruff or once daily for tinea versicolor.

Improvement in dandruff is usually seen within 2–4 weeks of regular use. Use it in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor.

The safety and effectiveness of Danfree Shampoo 1% Ketaconazole have not been established in children under 12 years of age. It should not be used in children unless advised otherwise by a doctor.

Most people tolerate Danfree Shampoo 1% Ketaconazole well. Some may experience mild scalp or skin reactions such as irritation, dryness, itching, or changes in hair texture. If severe irritation or allergic reactions occur, stop the use and seek medical advice.
