How Cefuzact-SB Products work
Cefuroxime + Sulbactam is a combination of two medicines: Cefuroxime + Sulbactam1 and Cefuroxime + Sulbactam2. Cefuroxime + Sulbactam1 is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Cefuroxime + Sulbactam2 is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which blocks the action of enzymes produced by bacteria to inactivate Cefuroxime + Sulbactam1. Addition of Cefuroxime + Sulbactam2 reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefuroxime + Sulbactam1 against bacteria.
