How Biclox D Products work

Ampicillin + Dicloxacillin is a combination of two antibiotics: Ampicillin + Dicloxacillin1 and Ampicillin + Dicloxacillin2. These antibiotics work by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Biclox D Capsule is used to treat patients with bacterial infections. It is a semi-synthetic derivative of the drug penicillin and is used to treat urinary tract and respiratory tract infections, meningitis, gonorrhea and infections of the stomach or intestine.

If you have had an allergic reaction to one type of penicillin, you may get allergic to ampicillin or to some cephalosporins, but not necessarily. Make sure you tell your doctor if you are allergic to penicillin.
