Axecor 500mg Tablet may cause changes in the electrical activity of the heart, which is known as QT prolongation. Your doctor may get regular tests done to check the electrical activity of your heart. Tell your doctor right away if you feel faint or lightheaded or if your heart starts beating irregularly or fast, as these may be symptoms of QT prolongation. Axecor 500mg Tablet may also cause kidney failure in patients who already have kidney problems. Therefore, your doctor may need to do tests to check how your kidneys are working.
Q. I started taking Axecor 500mg Tablet about a week ago. Now I have noticed that my urine has become very dark, though I am taking plenty of fluids. Is there anything to worry about?
Dark urine while taking Axecor 500mg Tablet is not a common side effect, but it can sometimes happen. Monitor for other symptoms like yellowing of the skin/eyes (jaundice), severe fatigue, nausea, or unusual muscle pain. Consult your doctor as soon as possible to rule out any liver- or kidney-related issues. Check if you’re taking other medications that could cause urine discoloration, such as vitamins, antibiotics, or certain foods like beets.
