Ketoprofen is used for pain relief. It relieves pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, gout, muscle pain, low back pain and toothache.

Side Effects of Aspifast are Vomiting, Nausea, Abdominal pain, Constipation, Flatulence, Diarrhea, Dyspepsia, Decreased appetite, Stomatitis (Inflammation of the mouth), Headache, Dizziness, Ringing in ear, Visual disturbance, Rash, Edema (swelling).

How Aspifast Products work

Ketoprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

  • You have been prescribed Aspifast to relieve pain and inflammation.
  • Take it with food or milk to prevent upset stomach.
  • Take it as per the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Long term use may lead to serious complications such as stomach bleeding and kidney problems.
  • Do not take indigestion remedies (antacids) within two hours of taking Aspifast.
  • Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Aspifast as it can increase your risk of stomach problems.
  • Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart disease or stroke.
  • Your doctor may regularly monitor your kidney function, liver function and levels of blood components if you are taking this medicine for long-term treatment.

Q. How long should Aspifast Gel be used?

The usual recommendation is to apply 5-10 cm of the medicine to the affected area 2-4 times a day for 7 days. If your symptoms worsen or persist even after 7 days, stop using the medicine and consult your doctor.

Q. What precautions are necessary while using Aspifast Gel?

Use it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the medicine. Protect your skin with sunscreen and protective clothing from sunlight even on a cloudy day. This should be done during treatment as well as after 2 weeks of stopping it.
