An X-Ray Dorsal Spine LAT View is a non-invasive examination that allows you to visualise the twelve thoracic vertebrae (T1 - T12) that make up the middle section of your spine. Additionally, using a tiny amount of radiation helps visualise their intervertebral discs and surrounding soft tissues such as skin and muscles.

The actual radiation exposure period is often less than a second, while the entire exam may take 20 and 30 minutes.

The X-Ray Dorsal Spine LAT View determines the source of severe back pain and searches for spinal bones injuries or fractures (vertebrae). Identify any suspected tumors, arthritis, osteoporosis, or spinal infections. Also, examine the spine for any anomalies in its curvatures, like lordosis, kyphosis, scoliosis, or birth abnormalities.
