Cerebral-Mr VenogrAPhy (Cerebral-MRI venography) is a diagnostic procedure to identify any abnormalities in the veins and tissue of the cerebrum- the largest part of the brain. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a painless and safe technique using radio waves and magnetic fields to create clear and detailed 3-dimensional multiple pictures of the cerebrum's venous system (veins). A contrast media (usually gadolinium-based dye) can be injected into the vein of an arm to enhance the view and produce differentiated color images for more accuracy in diagnosis.

Cerebral MRI venography is used to detect blockage of veins (venous occlusion), stroke, cerebral haemorrhage, blood clots in the cerebral venous sinuses (venous thrombosis), idiopathic intracranial hypertension, and obstructed blood flow in veins (cerebrospinal venous insufficiency).
