Amphetamine Screen, Urine
Understanding Amphetamine Screen, Urine
What is Amphetamine Screen, Urine?
Amphetamine (AMP) Screen Urine Test is used to confirm the presence of amphetamine drugs in the urine. Amphetamines are sold as illegal street drugs that cause severe addiction problems. Drugs like crystal meth, ecstasy, and phentermine belong to amphetamines. The doctor prescribes an AMP urine test if a person has hyperactivity, agitation, dilated pupils, aggressiveness, rapid heartbeat, and psychosis.
The AMP test is a risk-free procedure, and is mandatory for joining the military, sports field, medicine, and other jobs. The drugs are detected in the urine for two to five days after ingestion. AMP concentration of 0.02mg/L to 0.2mg/L in the body falls under the prescribed medical drugs like nasal inhalers and antihistamines. The higher levels of amphetamines are a clear indication of abuse.
