What is MRI Face And Neck With Contrast?
An MRI scan is a noninvasive imaging test for detecting abnormalities unable to be seen in other procedures. MRI produces high-resolution images that help diagnose the problems. MRI with contrast uses contrast agents (a type of MRI dye) for enhancing the image quality and adding clarity to the MRI image. Before an MRI you need to inform the technologist about any device or metal implant in the body.
An MRI face and neck with contrast shows tissues, bones, blood vessels, and joints. It is done to detect tumours, infections, or conditions of the cartilage and bone. It also helps determine the degree of progress of any known cancerous tumour. The test usually takes about 60 minutes.
