What is MR Neurography?
MR neurography, or magnetic resonance neurography (MRN) is an advanced technique that can image nerves anywhere in the body. It is also known as MR Imaging of Peripheral Nerves (PNI). MR neurography is used for direct imaging of nerves in the body and for diagnosing disorders of the peripheral nerves.
Why is MR Neurography done?
- To diagnose the nerves internal conditions like (edema) swelling, irritation, injury
- To evaluate compression of the nerves like brachial plexus nerves (thoracic outlet syndrome) and pudendal nerves
- To detect problems in the sciatic nerve (piriformis syndrome) and brachial plexus nerve (thorax outlet syndrome)
- To find out increase in endoneurial fluid which reveals damaged nerves
Mahajan Imaging has a history of bringing new technologies into the private sector in the country for example standing weight bearing MRI, Cone Beam Dental CT, functional MRI, MR tractography, MR mammography, CT coronary angiography, 4D ultrasound with tomography, PET-CT, CT-guided robotic biopsy, digital mammography and DEXA bone densitometry. Continuing the said trend, they have recently installed Asia’s 1st Silent MRI technology and India’s first Dual Energy Spectral CT Scanner with the most...
