What is CD4 Absolute Count?
CD4 absolute count is a test that measures the number of CD4 cells/ T cells/ white blood cells in the blood. They fight against infection and play an important role in the functioning of immune system. In general this test is advised for HIV patients for monitoring the health status of immune system. CD4 count is also done before an organ transplant to make sure that the immune system won't attack the new organ.
