Test Preparation

Depending on the area to be imaged, you may be asked to wear a hospital gown at the time of the scan.
Pregnant women should inform their doctor (and x-ray technician) as the radiations may affect the fetus. If needed, precautions can be taken to lower the radiation exposure to the fetus.
Get the blood urea and creatinine test done to evaluate kidney function and to ensure safety of contrast before taking up the procedure.

What is CECT Scan Right Foot?

A CECT Right Foot or Contrast Enhanced Computerized Tomography (CECT) Scan of the right foot is a diagnostic imaging technique that uses multiple rotating X-rays and a contrast material to create cross-sectional images of the right foot.

The detailed pictures help evaluate and assess the conditions affecting the foot region, including bone fractures, ligament tear, injury, etc. It also aids in monitoring procedures associated with the right foot. Following symptoms may require this test for proper diagnosis:

Pain and inflammation

Deformities

Restriction of range of motion

Loss of stability

Some people may experience immediate allergic reactions after an injection of the contrast material. In most cases, these reactions are mild. An abnormal test scan may indicate deformations and malformations such as flat foot and Cavus foot.
