Overview
What is 3D-CT Scan Left Leg?
A 3D scan of the left leg takes cross-sectional pictures of the leg. It uses X-rays for creating the images. You have to lie down on a table, which will slide to the middle of the CT scanner. As soon as you are inside the scanner, the X-ray beam will start to rotate around you. The computer will create different images of the body, known as slices. You have to stay still during the exam as movement might lead to blurry images.
In case you are pregnant, you should let your doctor know before the scan is performed. After the scan, you might encounter some allergic reactions, such as vomiting, nausea, and irritation, which can be treated immediately.
