Vonoprazan

Vonoprazan is used to treat conditions where the stomach produces too much acid, such as stomach ulcers and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

Vonoprazan is considered to be more effective in reducing stomach acid compared to older medications like proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). It works more quickly and can be effective in patients who do not respond well to traditional PPIs.
