Hyoscine butylbromide+Mefenamic Acid is used in the treatment of abdominal cramp.

How Hyoscine butylbromide + Mefenamic Acid works

Hyoscine butylbromide + Mefenamic Acid is a combination of two medicines: Hyoscine butylbromide and Mefenamic Acid which relieve abdominal pain and cramps. Hyoscine butylbromide is an anti-cholinergic which relaxes the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine) and stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms). In doing this, it relieves cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Mefenamic Acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
