How Dicyclomine + Dextropropoxyphene works
Dicyclomine + Dextropropoxyphene is a combination of two medicines: dicyclomine and dextropropoxyphene which relieve abdominal pain and cramps. Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic which works by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms). By doing this, it relieves cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Dextropropoxyphene is an opioid analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception.
Common side effects of Dicyclomine + Dextropropoxyphene
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
