Carmofur Uses
Carmofur is used in the treatment of testicular cancer, ovarian cancer, head and neck cancer, cervical cancer, breast cancer, non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), blood cancer, lung cancer, bone cancer and urinary bladder cancer.
How Carmofur works
Carmofur belongs to a class of medications called halopyrimidines. It works by breaking down some proteins found in cancerous cells and works along with other anti-cancer agents to prevent growth of cancer cells.
Common side effects of Carmofur
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
