How Bromhexine + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Phenylpropanolamine + Menthol works

Bromhexine + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Phenylpropanolamine + Menthol is a combination of four medicines: bromhexine, dextromethorphan, phenylpropanolamine and menthol which relieve cough and cold symptoms. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Phenylpropanolamine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Menthol is an organic compound which produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation.
