Rebamipide Uses
Rebamipide is used in the treatment of intestinal ulcers, stomach ulcers, mouth ulcers and peptic ulcer disease.
How Rebamipide works
Rebamipide is a mucosal protective agent. It increases the synthesis of prostaglandin, a chemical messenger which improves healing of the ulcer.
Common side effects of Rebamipide
Abdominal pain, Taste change, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Constipation, Dizziness, Drowsiness, Heartburn, Decreased white blood cell count (lymphocytes), Menstrual disorder, Burping, Nausea
