How to use Mincovit Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Mincovit Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Mincovit Syrup works

Mincovit Syrup is an antiplatelet medication. It works by preventing the platelets from sticking together, thereby decreasing the formation of harmful blood clots. This lowers the chance of heart attack or stroke.

Pregnancy
PROBABLY SAFE
Mincovit Syrup is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Mincovit Syrup should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Driving
Not relevant, as Mincovit Syrup is intended for use in hospitalised patients.
Kidney
CAUTION
Mincovit Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Mincovit Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Mincovit Syrup should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Mincovit Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Mincovit Syrup is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

  • Mincovit Syrup is used along with other medicines to prevent the formation of blood clots.
  • It is usually given by your nurse or doctor as an infusion (drip) into a vein.
  • It increases your risk of bleeding. Be careful while shaving, cutting fingernails or toenails or using sharp objects.
  • Notify your doctor if you see blood in your vomit, urine or stool (black, tarry stools or bright red blood).
