This group contains medicines that are combinations of two different types of antihypertensive medicines. They lower blood pressure and are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Such a combination is usually prescribed when a single medicine has failed to control blood pressure effectively. These medicines may also be used for the treatment of heart failure.
