The recommended dose of Zotide is 80 μl containing 20 mcg teriparatide to be administered once daily by subcutaneous injection in the thigh or abdomen. There are no data available on the safety or efficacy of intravenous or intramuscular injection of Zotide. It should be administered initially in an environment in which the patient can assume a supine or sitting position if orthostatic hypotension should occur.
