Avobenzone is a topical, broad range UV protector and blocks UVA I, UVA II, and UVB wavelengths, thereby limiting the impact of UV rays on skin. Indicated for providing protection from the sun. In addition to limiting the skins exposure to the sun, using sunscreen agents may help reduce long-term sun damage such as signs of aging of the skin. Octinoxate filters UV-B rays from the sun. It does not protect against UV-A rays. Octinoxate dissolves in oil, which makes it a fat-seeking substance in the body. Oxybenzone may help protect the skin from sunburn and signs of ageing such as wrinkles and leathery skin. Titanium dioxide is used in mineral-based sunscreens to help reflect and scatter UVA and UVB rays.
