With Xpress Health – Serious Illness Cover, Niva Bupa provides a graded payout depending on how many days you are hospitalised for a covered chronic or serious illness (like Diabetes, Hypertension, Asthma, Heart Disease).

Inclusions

Payout:

• 3–5 days hospitalisation → ₹10,000 payout
  
  
• 6–8 days hospitalisation → ₹20,000 payout
  
  
• More than 8 days hospitalisation → ₹30,000 payout
  
  
• One-time payout per year, regardless of bills

Policy Conditions:

• Age eligibility: 18–65 years
  
  
• Coverage: Individual (Self only)
  
  
• Policy tenure: 1 year

Claim process -
Intimation Timeline: If the Insured Person is hospitalised / underwent a Surgical Procedure or any medical condition falling under purview of the definition of Serious Illness as mentioned in the Policy that may result in a claim, then the Insured Person must provide intimation immediately and in any event within 7 days of the aforesaid illness / condition / surgical event.

Intimation can be received through various modes like email / telephone / fax / in person / letter or any other suitable mode.

Claim Registration: Upon receipt of information, the insurer will register the claim under a unique claim number.

Details to be provided at the time of intimation of claim:

• The Policy Number / Certificate Number
  
  
• Name of the Policyholder
  
  
• Employee No. / Member ID
  
  
• Name and address of the Insured Person in respect of whom the request is being made
  
  
• Nature of Illness or Injury and the treatment / Surgery taken
  
  
• Name and address of the attending Medical Practitioner
  
  
• Hospital where treatment / Surgery was taken
  
  
• Date of Occurrence of Insured Event or/and date of admission
  
  
• Any other information that may be relevant to the Illness / Injury / Hospitalisation
