It is intended to assist clinicians in establishing and maintaining a drainage route using the PleurX catheter and associated components. The kit includes a PleurX pleural catheter and accessory devices such as a guidewire and tunneler, which may help support correct catheter placement. The included drainage line and lockable access tip are provided to help enable controlled fluid drainage when clinically indicated. Components such as the valve cap and adapters are included to help maintain a closed drainage system and minimise handling.
