Leeford Thumb Spica Splint Support is a convenient device designed to immobilise the thumb in the abduction position. It supports the CMC joint and immobilises the MCP joint of the thumb, inhibiting movement. They are made of flexible, breathable three-layered fabric with sandwiched PU foam contoured to provide close fitting over the thumb. Semi-rigid, removable malleable radial splint supported the thumb in the abduction and immobilised the Carpo metacarpal and metacarpal joints of the thumb. Velcro closures ensure a quick and easy application and removal of the product and closed contoured fitting of the splint around the thumb.
