Bos Medicare Surgical Peak Flow Meter is a type of portable and inexpensive hand-held device used to measure a person's ability to push the air out of their lungs. Also, the airflow is measured by the amount of air that can be blown out in one "fast blast." Peak flow meters usually come in two ranges to measure air pushed out of the lungs. It measures the airflow through the bronchi and thus the degree of obstruction in the airways. Peak expiratory flow is typically measured in units of litres per minute (L/min).
